Agent installation. Cannot find the agent.

Installspyagent.exe file is located in the folder, PC Acme Professional was installed to (by default it is C:/Program Files/PCACME Professional/).

To install spy-agent please run it on the PC you need to monitor. It can be run either from a floppy disk or from the network under Administrative privileges. Spy Agent works under Windows 2000 and Windows XP. After a successful installation the computer restarts automatically.

Please note that the server component does not work with Spy Agent installed on the same computer.

I?ve installed the agent on the same pc by mistake. How to delete it?

The agent cannot be removed from the same computer. You need to install the program on any other computer within the same network environment and delete the agent from there. After that the program can be uninstalled as well.

Can?t add client, can?t create a report

Concerning add-the-client error, please do the following:
- try to increase the Timeout setting in Settings--> General menu;
- try to stop the firewall (if any) for the time of client-adding;
- run ?Agent state testing" in Tools menu. Please set the IP-address of that computer and click on "Test" button.

It is also possible that the agent wasn't installed correctly. Please try to run InstallSpyAgent.exe again. In case the agent already exists on this computer, you?ll be notified of it - otherwise the PC will reboot again.

Please make sure that all your actions while creating a report are correct. To make a report one should:

1) select the target computer in ?Information about the clients? tab, right-click on it and choose "Accept the log file";
2) open "The log-file has been accepted" tab, press "Start" button in ?Monitoring? field if available to start parsing process(if "Start" option is not available, please proceed with step #3);
3) to view the report please go back to "Information about the clients" tab, right-click on the same computer and choose the report-type you are going to generate;
4) finally, specify report viewing preferences and click "Start" to view the report.

Is their anyway to install the SpyAgent without logging on to the system as local administrator. I will need to deploy through a login script?

We inform you that there is no way to install the program without being logged as a Local Administrator, because all our products require both physical access to the computer and Administrative rights.
